SYNTAX / PLAIN-LANGUAGE DATA GUIDE
Your data, in brief.
Here is what Syntax uses to provide learning, account security, support, and optional AI help.
- 01 / STORED
What Syntax stores
Account name and verified email, password hash or connected sign-in identity, course progress, notes, settings, support tickets, and payment invoice status when you use those features. Guest lesson progress stays in your browser.
- 02 / NOVA
What the tutor sees
Nova may receive your message, a short recent conversation, selected language, active lesson, and the code buffer you share. It can be wrong. Do not send passwords, API keys, wallet secrets, recovery phrases, or confidential code.
- 03 / SECURITY
How long sign-in IPs are kept
Raw successful sign-in IP records are available only to the site owner and kept for 90 days. Rate-limit records use a one-way IP hash for their rate window. The full policy describes additional security records.
- 04 / PROVIDERS
Which services process data
Cloudflare hosts Syntax and provides the database and security checks. Discord can handle sign-in, NOWPayments handles optional pass checkout, Resend sends configured transactional email, and the configured AI provider processes Nova requests.
- 05 / EXPORT
How to export your learning data
Open Settings in your account and choose Export data. Exporting progress is free. Payment provider records may need a separate request through support.
- 06 / DELETE
How to delete your account
Use Delete account in account settings or open a private support ticket. Records needed for security, payment disputes, or legal requirements may have to be retained for a limited period.
