01 / ACCOUNT

Account and learning data

When you create an account, Syntax stores your display name, verified email or connected Discord identity, password hash when you set a password, session records, and account security timestamps. Passwords are not stored in plain text. Signed-in progress, lesson checks, preferences, notes, and account settings are stored to provide the learning service.

Guest progress is stored in your browser and is not synced until you create or sign in to an account.

02 / SECURITY

Sign-in IP and activity records

For security and abuse prevention, successful sign-ins store the connection IP address, approximate country or region supplied by Cloudflare, browser user-agent, account, and time. Raw sign-in IP records are available only to the site owner and are deleted after 90 days. General account activity records are access-controlled and retained for up to 180 days. Rate-limit records use a one-way hash of the connection IP and are rotated by their time window.

03 / AI

What Nova receives

If you use Nova, your message, a short recent conversation, selected language, current lesson context, and code buffer may be sent to the configured AI provider. Guest preview messages are rate-limited and tied to a temporary IP-based service limit. Do not paste passwords, API keys, private keys, recovery phrases, or confidential code. Nova can make mistakes; check its explanations and code.

04 / SUPPORT

Support tickets and email

Support tickets store the subject, conversation, status, account, and timestamps so you can follow the request. Promoted support admins can read and reply to tickets only. Ticket notification emails are sent through the configured transactional email provider when available. Ticket records are deleted with the account unless retention is required to resolve an active request or comply with law.

05 / PAYMENTS

Optional crypto payments

If you buy a pass or send a contribution, Syntax stores the relevant invoice or reference, selected asset and network, provider status, public transaction identifiers, and timestamps. NOWPayments processes pass checkouts. Syntax never asks for wallet passwords, private keys, or recovery phrases and never controls a wallet through this website. Refund requests include the destination address you provide and are manually reviewed; the refund policy is described in the Terms.

06 / INFRASTRUCTURE

Service providers

Cloudflare hosts the site, database, security checks, and server functions. Google Fonts may load typefaces from Google. When used, Discord handles account sign-in, NOWPayments handles checkout, Resend handles transactional email, and configured AI providers process Nova requests. Each provider receives only the information needed for its feature.

07 / CONTROL

Your choices

You can use the free learning pages without an account. You can request account deletion from account settings. Contact support through the private ticket form for privacy questions or account help. Deletion may not immediately remove records that must be kept for security, payment disputes, or legal requirements.
