SYNTAX / BROWSER STORAGE
Cookies and local storage
Storage used for sign-in, learning progress, and your display preferences.
01 / ESSENTIAL COOKIES
Sign-in and security
When you sign in, Syntax sets a secure, HTTP-only, same-site session cookie so the server can recognize your account. Discord sign-in temporarily uses a short-lived state cookie to protect the OAuth callback. These cookies are required for account and security features.
02 / LOCAL STORAGE
Learning on this device
Syntax stores local learning progress, preferences, and the selected appearance in your browser so the workspace can load and work. Guest progress remains on that device until it is linked to an account. Clearing browser storage may remove unsynced guest progress and preferences.
03 / THIRD PARTY
Embedded services
Cloudflare Turnstile may use its own storage while checking checkout abuse. Google Fonts may request font files from Google. See the Privacy policy for service-provider details.
